Richard M. Sax Named San Francisco, CA – The California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) has named Richard M. Sax of Pacific Union its 2004 REALTOR® of the Year. The honor, which is the highest recognition that C.A.R. can bestow on a member, recognizes those who have served the association, the profession and the community. In the past Sax has Chaired six different Committees at CAR and has served on the Executive Committee in 2000 and 2004. Sax, a REALTOR® with twenty-five years of experience, is among the Bay Area's top producers. He has served as a Director with the National Association of REALTORS® since 1993, was elected as Chair of the Legal Action Committee in 2000 and will serve as Vice Chairman of the Issues Mobilization Committee in 2005. Sax was also the 1985 President of the San Francisco Association of REALTORS® and the recipient of its 2002 Lifetime Achievement Award. Excelling not only in business but also within the community, Sax has served as President of the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic, Director of the San Francisco Association for the Blind, and as a Trustee for the American Conservatory Theater. He holds a Doctorate in Criminal Justice from University of California , Berkeley , and served as an Assistant Dean of UC Berkeley's School of Business Administration for five years prior to entering real estate. There will be a formal award presentation at the Annual Installation Banquet on January 28, 2005 in Monterey. |
