Christie’s Great Estates Networking Opportunity Attracts High-End Real Estate Brokers from across the United States and the Dominican Republic

The Christie’s Great Estates Conference for Sales Associates in Scottsdale, Arizona, included a panel discussion entitled “Building Your Business with the Christie’s Great Estates Network.” Richard Sax of Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate, the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates in San Francisco, California and the counties of Marin, Napa and Sonoma, was invited to participate on the panel. Sax shared the podium with four other luxury real estate specialists from Bozeman, Montana; Mantoloking, New Jersey; Aspen, Colorado; and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The conference was open only to high-end real estate professionals from brokerages affiliated with the Christie’s Great Estates international network

Sax, who was Realtor of the Year for California, opened his remarks by noting that “success in real estate boils down to communicating with honesty and integrity to your clients.” Sax was also a former dean of the business school at the University of California at Berkeley. “The economy is improving, high tech is back, biomedical is doing well,” he says. “All my estate properties are automatically going up on the Christie’s Great Estates Web site in order to tap into the monied international market.”

“The Scottsdale conference was an important opportunity for high-end real estate brokers affiliated with Christie’s Great Estates to network and share successful marketing strategies,” says Liz Anderson Fitzgerald, Western Regional Vice President for Christie’s Great Estates. “The panel discussions were a popular program on the agenda. Brokers like to hear from their peers about practical ways that the Christie’s Great Estates global network can work for them.”

The Scottsdale conference featured a keynote speech by Kay Coughlin, President and CEO of Christie’s Great Estates; Mark Plasters, Executive Vice President and National Sales Manager of Thornburg Mortgage, spoke on “Financing Strategies of the Wealthy”, and Cameron Strothman of AIG Private Client Group, spoke on “Insuring Important Real Estate.” Jill Griffin, a published author of business books who sits on the board of national corporations, addressed “Increasing Customer Loyalty in a Competitive Market.”

AIG Private Client Group and The New York Times were sponsors of this conference.
